The maker, hooker, and yarn-hoarder behind Loop & Twine — your cozy corner for free crochet patterns and beginner-friendly tutorials.
Nice to meet you
I’m a crochet designer and pattern writer based in New Mexico, USA. What started as a rainy-afternoon hobby has turned into a full creative obsession — and honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I built Loop & Twine because I know how frustrating it is to find tutorials that actually make sense. Every pattern I share here is tested, photographed, and written the way I wish someone had taught me.
Whether you’re picking up a hook for the first time or you’re an experienced crocheter chasing your next project — you belong here.
A few years ago, a YouTube rabbit hole introduced me to my very first granny square. By the end of the week I had burned through three skeins of yarn and covered my entire couch in wonky little squares — completely hooked (pun fully intended).
The learning curve was real. I spent hours hunting tutorials that made sense, rewinding videos, and untangling more yarn than I care to admit. I promised myself that when I finally felt confident, I’d create the resource I wished had existed from day one.
That’s Loop & Twine. A place where every stitch is explained, every pattern is tested, and every beginner is welcomed with open arms — and open hooks.
Tested, step-by-step crochet patterns — always completely free, no strings attached.
